Dearest Journal

I complain a lot about the roommate. How he’s grumpy at me because I’m not cleaning the house. And I know that my friends are sick of it. And are looking at me like I’m the problem. And they are on his side over mine.

That’s just the thing I want people to be on my side to agree with me. Yet what I noticed a lot is that they listen, but they don’t stop me and call me out on it. I wonder if they truly care. They act like they do. But do they really care about me?

I have always wanted to live in a place where nobody knows me, in a small town. Make friends with the people that live there. Have a small talk with them. And have a string of lovers while I live alone.

Living in New Orleans, that sounds like a wonderful idea. My home is just feet from a few shops. I don’t have to go very far. Meet the neighbors, one of them is a single guy who loves animals. Is an avid game hunter. We hit it off over sweet tea. He invites me to go out dancing.

But of course that is a dream I have. And deep down I believe that I don’t deserve it and why it’s not happening for me.

Well looks like some shadow work is in order to figure that out and rectify that.
